Great Christmas CD Feb 10, 2008
Here's Air Supply's one and only christmas cd this is a must for all great air supply fans.If you want to heaar some great christmas music done the way that only Air Supply can then is cd is just for you.

I have always found Air Supply to be a strangely appealing group. Whenever I hear one of their songs, I am somehow able to sing all of the lyrics, even though I've never owned any of their albums or known anyone who did. So, I enjoy using Air Supply as a punchline for the epitome of cheesy 70's and early 80's music, even though I think I actually like their music!!
Having admitted all of this, my wife bought me their Christmas album as part joke, part fulfillment of a lifelong dream of actually owning some of their music. And to be honest, this particular album is relatively nondescript. As some other reviewers have assessed, much of it is ultimately very boring. That's as much a testament to the mediocre arrangements of these classic Christmas tunes, but there just didn't seem to be much punch in these songs. Even the two original compositions, though very Air Supplyish, were rather nondescript.
Ultimately, this album isn't terrible. They sing some great Christmas songs, and they sound like Air Supply. It just doesn't have much character to it. I think I'll try Air Supply's greatest hits album, as they seem to be best with songs written specifically for them. If you like everything that comes out of the mouths of these two guys, then you'll like this. But if you want some stellar Christmas music, you'll have to look elsewhere. (Try James Taylor's Christmas album. It's fantastic!!)

Air Supply was destined to release a Christmas album as they are suited for it. The duo did a wonderful job performing 8 very classic and beloved Christmas classics. Graham Russell wrote two original tracks for the record "The Eye's Of A Child" & "Love Is All". But wait a minute...what in the world makes these two songs Christmas songs? The fact they are on a Christmas album? Perhaps, but they sound like traditional Air Supply songs. As it may be "Love Is All" is the best track off of the album. This one will definatley stand the test of time as I listen to it every holiday season and never really get tired of it. Well done and enjoyable especially for the holidays!

I love Air Supply, I have their greatest Hits CD and I love it and think the songs on that CD are great so that is why I bought their Christmas CD and sorry but I have to agree with the reviewer from Canada that this CD is boring! I love Christmas music but this CD just dosen't appeal to me at all and I find it to be a major snorefest!

Each Christmas I hear the song "Eyes of a child" and can't quite see why it is a christmas song only and not played more on the lite rock radio stations. I am getting married this year and each of us is bringing one child into our new family. I found this song to be perfect for the ceremony as we give gifts to the girls and acknowledge all of us uniting in family. If you know of anyone doing something very special where children are involved, recommend this song.
