Item Description... Overview When a bomb explodes in a building while lawyer Jill Clark Nichols is on the top floor, her firefighter husband, Dan, hurries in to save her, only to have more bombs explode, and when Dan cannot be found, Jill's faith is tested.
Publishers Description At the request of her many fans---Terri Blackstock revisits the heroic cast of characters in this fifth book in her best-selling Newpointe 911 seriesIn Line of Duty, a bomb explodes at the Icon International building in New Orleans while lawyer Jill Clark Nichols is in the top floor boardroom. The thirty-story building goes up in flames and fire departments from all around the area are called in. The firefighters from Newpointe are especially concerned since they know Jill is inside the building. Dan, her husband, rushes in to save her. But as firefighters work to evacuate the upper floors of the building, a second and third bomb explode, causing the lower floors to cave in. Firefighters and civilians are buried beneath the rubble. When the smoke finally clears, a count is taken. Jill narrowly escapes the chaos of the explosions and fire only to find Dan missing. Were the bombs the act of a terrorist, or a scheme coming from a heart of greed? Can Jill's faith carry her through these long days of pain and uncertainty? And will Dan survive this tragedy . . . or sacrifice his life in the line of duty?

Reviews - What do our customers think?
 | Excellent Oct 20, 2005 |
Line of Duty seemed to be right off the pages of a current newspaper. I think it is the very best in the Newpointe 911 series. It was so good that after a few pages I emailed Terri Blackstock and asked for another book to this series that she thinks is finished. I hope it will continue.
Terri Blackstock is a very gifted author. Her characters could be the people next door or down the street. | | | | Great Book Mar 22, 2005 |
| I have read every book in the Newpointe 911 series, and I must say that Line of Duty is my favorite. I always loved Dan and Jill, and to see how they survive this tragedy. Once you pick up one of Terri Blackstock's books, it is hard to put it down. I have read all of the Newpointe series more than one time, but each time I read it, I get into it. Thanks for writing such a great book in a great series. | | | | Excellent ! Dec 2, 2004 |
| This book, and all of Terri Blackstock's book, are hard to put down once you start reading them. This book transformed me into the story and the lives of those involved. My husband was a firefighter so I understand the feelings she put through in this book. I highly recommend "Line of Duty." | | | | Awesome storry Nov 19, 2004 |
| This was an awesome story line. I could not but it down and when I did, I couldn't wait to get back to it. I hope that Terri does not stop with this book. This series is so perfectly written and should not be stopped. | | | | Good book, but not her best Nov 10, 2004 |
| This is another good book from Terri. However, there were a few times I wanted to put it down and not pick it back up. I was disappointed that we followed Dan and Jill again, rather then a new couple or a character who didn't develope much in previous books. I would say that is the biggest problem with this book, everything else is great. I won't go into details, because I see that so many of these reviews have already done a great job with that. The first few chapters were hard to get through, but after the building came down I had to find out what happened to Dan and the rest of the fireman from Newpointe who were lost/trapped in the rubble. Do they make it out alive? Do they ever find them in that mess? It's an exciting book, you should read it. | | | Write your own review about Line Of Duty (Newpointe 911 V5)
