Item Description...
Tin cookie cutter with colorful recipe card. Great for making jelly filled cookies. Each card includes a recipe for cookies and frosting.
COOKIE RECIPE:
Cream Together:
1 c. butter
2/3 c. sugar (granulated)
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/3 c. powdered sugar (sifted)
10 oz. jar of your favorite jam (warm)
Cream together butter and granulated sugar. Beat in egg. Add vanilla, flour and salt. Mix until ingredients are well blended. Chill 3-4 hours. Pre-heat oven to 390 degrees. Roll out dough 1/4" thick and cut into flower shapes. Place on cookie sheets. With small cutter cut out centers of half of the cookies, chill and re-roll scraps. Bake 8-10 minutes until slightly golden. Remove from cookie sheets & cool on wire racks. Sprinkle hollow cookies with sifted powdered sugar.
To Assemble:
Spread 1 tsp. of jam on whole cookies, top with hollow cookie. Store in a tigh container with waxed paper between layers.
