Outline Twenty years after her landmark Watermark album, Enya's seventh studio disc, And Winter Came continues a phenomenally successful career that has included more than 70 million albums sold worldwide. And Winter Came is an enchanting evocation of the changing landscape of winter as well as the festive cheer of the holidays. One of the most successful female artists of all-time, and second only to U2 as the biggest selling Irish artist in history, Enya brings her beguiling and ethereal music to bear on the darkest and yet most hopeful season with And Winter Came.
Album Description 2008 release from the acclaimed Irish singer/songwriter, one of the world's biggest selling female solo artists (over 70 million). Once again the result of Enya's longstanding creative triumvirate alongside producer Nicky Ryan and lyricist Roma Ryan, And Winter Came was originally envisioned as a Christmas-themed album. As recording progressed, it became apparent that a broader seasonal theme had emerged; beguiling songs such 'Trains and Winter Rains' sit comfortably alongside the festive 'Journey of the Angels' and other touching musical moments. 12 tracks total including an updated version of her holiday best seller 'Silent Night (Oiche Chuin)'.

This is an awesome CD! Got one of these for me and gave another as a Christmas gift!
disappointed Jun 7, 2009
I have been an Enya fan for many years, but I was disappointed by this CD. The music was uninspired and mundane. Her rhythms were typical of other music and I did not find her rendition of standards exciting. The most creative aspect of the CD was the cover picture.
Not Just for Christmas May 30, 2009
This was the 1st Enya CD I purchased and it turned out to be only the beginning for me. I love the delicate ethereal sounds of her music. I listen to this all year long on my iPod going to sleep. I have since purchased 4 more Enya CDs - this is one of my favorites.
Everlasting May 22, 2009
This is my first Enya album, but I love to play it long after the holidays. It is sweet and joyful!
It's Enya May 2, 2009
What can I say? If you like Enya, I believe you will like this CD!
