Reviews - What do our customers think?
Surprisingly absorbing book Apr 4, 2008
When I first read through this I wondered if my 4 year old would be able to focus as there are many steps to making the pancakes, but she just loves it. After reading it a few times she loves anticipating what comes next in the sequence of events. It's not "The Very Hungry Catterpillar", but it's still a really worthy book. I think it's particularly neat because it gets kids to start realizing that simple items like flour, milk and eggs don't just originate in the grocery store.

Daughter Addicted to the Book Dec 27, 2007
My daughter is 18 years old now and still says this was the best book she ever had. When she was a preschooler, I got to the point where I hid the book because she asked me to read it to her every night. She believes that the artwork was mesmerizing and the story was secondary. Other Carle books didn't hold her interest.

A favorite Dec 17, 2007
This book falls into the category of library books that my son loved so much that we decided to stop renewing and buy. He loves Eric Carle, but this rates up there with the much read Hungry Caterpillar, Busy spider, Papa please get the moon, and 10 Rubber ducks. We have even tried the pancake recipe!! We should have ordered the hard cover version......

Great book for young people Apr 10, 2007
While volunteering for a reading program, I ran across this book. I read it to some 4 and 5 year olds. The students loved the colorful pictures and asked me to read this book over and over. I would recommend this book to anyone who has a child in their life.

pancakes Feb 15, 2007
I ordered 14 Eric Carle books because I loved his hungry catterpiller, polar bear and brown bear books however the 14 others I ordered were very disappointing. I never have time to go to the post office or else I would have returned every single one including this book.
