| When you read a novel that talks about what food they are serving it often sounds great. With this book you can actually have the receipes plus the quotes from the novel they are from. Well worth the money | | | | Ahhhh Mitford Jan 13, 2007 |
| This is a wonderful hardcover cookbook. Nice size and very nice looking. Ir has all of Mitford's best little stories and best of all the famous Orange Marmalade Cake recipe. For all Mitford lovers........ great book! | | | | Wonderful companion to the series Jan 12, 2007 |
| My daughter-in-law and I both enjoy trying the recipes we have read about in the delightful Mitford series. Knowing that they have been tested, staying true to the ingredients that would be available in western North Carolina, makes them all the more appealing. I feel as though I am cooking for old friends. | | | | A Real Life View Nov 17, 2006 |
| I own all of the books of the "Mitford" series. I was so pleased when the cookbook was published that I purchased it. I so much enjoyed the vignettes of the recipes that I doctored Uncle Billy's Sweet Potato Pie with a few ounces of "Jack Daniels" and got raves. I live in a small city in Southeastern Indiana and so many of the Mitford stories parallel our life here. I am an Episcopalian and all of Jan's novels have touched my heart. I am a Licensed Lay Preacher and have used Jan's themes in my sermons because they touch upon life in general and small towns in particular. Thanks, Jan. | | | Write your own review about Jan Karon's Mitford Cookbook and Kitchen Reader: Recipes from Mitford Cooks, Favorite Tales from Mitford Books
