If you pay attention, the questions a woman asks will point directly to some of her deepest longings and also reveal some of what she desires most from a man. With this book as a guide, we hope that men and women can move beyond the question of "Why are women the way they are?" to see the authentic heart of a woman. A companion book to ""Yup." "Nope." "Maybe."" the book for women. Contains a group study guide. Chapter headings: Does This Dress Make Me Look Fat? Do You Notice Anything Different about the House? Do You Think That Woman Is Pretty? What Are You Thinking About? Am I Like My Mother? Are You As Happy As I Am? Is There Anything You Don't Like About Me? Conclusion: You don't have to get me anything for Christmas Discussion Guide

Reviews - What do our customers think?
 | Great Book! Sep 3, 2008 |
| My husband and I really enjoyed this book. We used both books in a couples study and they worked out great. We could relate to so much the authors were writing about...especially the one that had twins like we do. We definitely learned more about why women and men act the way they do. | | | | VERY INSIGHTFUL, FUN BOOK! Jun 20, 2007 |
| This is a very helpful book that gave me new insights on how to relate and communicate with women. I enjoyed the humor within the book but also thought it had a lot of meaningful insight on how women think about things compared to men. Wow, we really are different, aren't we? I thought the real life examples shared by the authors made the book fun to read and helped to get across their point in a refreshing way. I wish I had read this book when I was 16. It would have come in handy. | | | | A Must read for all married people Jun 8, 2007 |
| The authors relate hilarious stories from their own lives that make the reader feel like they are living under the same roof. The things that their wives say to them and vice versa are so similar to my own. But the powerful thing about the book is how they get to the real underlying issues in marriage. It is a careful and thoughtful explanation of how our genders are at play in our marriage and how we can redemptively resolve difficulties and make marriage a beautiful experience. I highly recommend to anyone who is married or engaged. | | | | Best Relationship Book that I've Read May 15, 2007 |
This small book is packed with helpful ideas for communicating effectively and understanding what is behind some of the questions women ask. Its an easy read as the stories the authors use as examples are often quite funny.
I read part of this book right across from my girlfriend at a coffee shop and literally was able to take a step forward in our relationship right then and there as I put into practice what I had just learned.

"Does This Dress Make Me Look Fat?" is a man's guide to understanding women and the companion book to "Yup. Nope. Maybe." which is a woman's guide to understanding their man. Both books had a hard time getting to the point and were very limited in useful information. Both revolved more around describing the authors' relationships with their spouses than giving actual, helpful ideas to couples. The back covers describe these books as funny, but the humor is often lost in the self-absorption of the authors as they detail fight after fight after FIGHT that they had as young, married and naïve couples.
At the core (if you can ever find it) there is a small amount of helpful information for the reader. However, if you would like a book that's actually worth your money, and is jam-packed with awesome, helpful tips and advice, I would recommend the books "For Women Only" and "For Men Only" by Shaunti Feldhahn. | | | Write your own review about "Does This Dress Make Me Look Fat?": A Man's Guide to the Loaded Questions Women Ask
