Item Description...

Oftentimes when two guys are communicating, a lot can be communicated with a few head nods, a couple of grunts. From a woman's perspective, men aren't always so clear. What a woman hears a man say and what he means to communicate can often be very disconnected. Gain an appreciation for how men communicate and discover the depth of feelings that your man has been trying to communicate to you. A companion book to ""Does This Dress Make Me Look Fat?"" the book for men. Contains a group study guide. Chapter Headings: Yup. Nope. Maybe. (Decoding manspeak) I'm Not Lost (Why won't men stop for directions?) Wanna Do It? (Do men "always" think about sex?) Your Problem Is . . . (Why does he always try to fix my problems?) You're Too Sensitive (Are men emotionally constipated?) In a Minute (Why do men spend so much time on the toilet? Can't it Wait Till Halftime? (What's the deal with men and sports?) What Were You Thinking? (Why women will always have questions about men) Conclusion Discussion Guide

Reviews - What do our customers think?
We did it as a bible study  Jul 15, 2008
We did these books as a couples bible study. Each week we would read the women and men's chapter and then discus them. The men started talking and it really sparked some great conversations! It was a great book... funny, informational, easy to read, and clever..... we all loved it.

A Fresh Approach to an Eternal Dilemma...  Jul 2, 2007
I like a book where the authors aren't afraid to take a jab at themselves. This book reads like a conversation with friends - who happen to have years of training in the world of relationships. Thomas and James avoid the didactic and instead offer an engaging, refreshing and downright funny look at the challenges of love.

And I learned a thing or two while laughing out loud...who knew why educated, middle-aged men get so wrapped up in the pre-school tug of war contest, stand in a room screaming fearlessly at a television set, or refuse to ask for directions?

WOW, WHAT A GREAT BOOK!  Jun 20, 2007
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. I thought it was a very candid, straightforward analysis of how we guys really do think. I liked the real life examples and the candor with which these guys shared their own mistakes in communicating with the women in their lives. I really thought the chapter, "Wanna Do It?" was an excellent chapter on sex and how men and women think about it differently. Their approach on this topic, based on faith based principles, was very refreshing. I would recommend this book to men and women from teenagers to seniors.

Get to the point already!  Apr 16, 2007
"Yup. Nope. Maybe." is a woman's guide to understanding their man, and the companion book to "Does This Dress Make Me Look Fat" which is a man's guide to understanding women. Both books had a hard time getting to the point and were very limited in useful information. Both revolved more around describing the authors' relationships with their spouses than giving actual, helpful ideas to couples. The back covers describe these books as funny, but the humor is often lost in the self-absorption of the authors as they detail fight after fight after FIGHT that they had as young, married, naive couples.

At the core (if you can ever find it) there is a small amount of helpful information for the reader. However, if you would like a book that's actually worth your money, and is jam-packed with awesome, helpful tips and advice, I would recommend the books "For Women Only" and "For Men Only" by Shaunti Feldhahn.
