In The Pink Ballerina, Gigi and her best friend, Frances, take their first dance lesson after Gigi reads half of a verse in Psalms about praising God in dance. With reluctant practice and awkward help from Tiara (her new dog) and Lord Fluffy (her not-so-cooperative cat), Gigi struggles to dance perfectly to God proud of her. Then Gigi learns that God looks at our hearts, not how perfectly we do things, and that God is proud of us when we are kind to others.

My kids love animated movies about princesses and ballerinas. So, when the good folks at Thomas Nelson offered to send me a free copy of Gigi's Hughest Announcement, the latest DVD in the God's Little Princess series, I thought this could be a great opportunity to do a review with my kids.
So, here's our review of Gigi's Hughest Announcement, by me and my 3 kids.
Gigi's Hughest Announcement contains two animated stories. In "The Royal Tea Party," Gigi tries to deliver a royal message to Francis--that Francis is God's little princess--and everything goes wrong. In "The Pink Ballerina," Gigi and Francis take ballet lessons so they can learn to dance for God.
What was your favorite part of these stories?
* When a girl in the ballet stepped on her pink boa and fell down.
* The song at the end of the royal tea party.
* When Gigi did skywriting and wrote "Francis is God's little pumpkin" instead of "princess."
Did you learn anything from these stories?
* I learned about God.
* I learned that Gigi is funny.
* That you shouldn't be upset with yourself.
* You shouldn't think that you can't be something that you really are.
* You shouldn't say that you can't so something that you haven't practiced enough because you will be able to do it someday.
Did you learn a bible verse:
* Psalm 149:3 "Praise his name in dance; strike up the band and make great music."
What did you think of this DVD?
* I love the Gigi movie.
* I liked it a whole bunch.
* I loved it when Gigi did the skywriting and when she fell over doing ballet in her bedroom and when Francis said, "If I faint I will go to sleep and call you tomorrow!"

This little princess is full of priss and girly charm, and following along on her journey of learning important character traits is fun entertainment for little girls! Gigi's Hugest Announcement runs for 60 minutes including bonus features, and has two complete Gigi adventures: The Royal Tea Party and The Pink Ballerina. These clean and wholesome DVDs are all about promoting positive character and stronger relationships with God for our daughters. Both the girls and I loved this one!
Both of these DVDs brought awesome messages to my girls. Gigi is just adorable! I love her voice and the way she talks. I absolutely adore DVDs like this that bring such a wonderful message in a way that my children are excited to hear.
My oldest daughter asked me if she was God's little princess also and I told her of course she was. And her sister? Yes! She went in and told her brother who told her she was crazy. He was brought out and had to be corrected with the fact that yes, his sisters are in fact God's princesses. They are watching it for the second time in a row tonight and my son just came out to watch it with them.
Perfect!
These DVDs are based on Sheila Walsh's stories. I had never heard of her before I got the chance to do this review and I am going to be stocking our shelves with more of her work. I think these are my new favorite DVDs for the girls! Gigi is too stinking adorable!
I love this DVD for helping me teach a subject to my children that I feel is hugely important but for some reason on my own, I have trouble getting out in terms my young kids can understand. I need to simplify it and this helps me!
